Chris Robles brings over 25 years of mushroom industry expertise to his role as Vice President of R&D for Amycel/Monterey Nutra. Since 2019, Chris has spearheaded the expansion of Amycel’s research division, transforming it into a high-powered team of over 30 specialists, including five PhDs dedicated to next-generation sequencing, genomics, and strain improvement. A prolific innovator, he is the lead inventor of the Heirloom, Brawn, and Kodiak strains and has been instrumental in the commercialization of industry staples such as Triple X, Exxcalibur, and AmaizePro. In addition to his technical leadership, Chris has served as an American Mushroom board member since 2025, helping to shape the future of the industry from their Royal Oaks, CA, headquarters.
