Emile Derache is a robotics engineer and serial entrepreneur based in Belgium, where he studied Robotics Engineering in Leuven. With a deep passion for bringing innovation and technology into real-world practices, he has built a career at the intersection of engineering and entrepreneurship. In 2019, Emile founded his first robotics company, growing it from the ground up to a team of 12 employees and €2.5 million in turnover. Building on that success, he spun out Heliovision in 2021, where he has since channelled his energy into an unexpected but exciting frontier — applying cutting-edge technology to the world of mushroom cultivation. Since 2023, Heliovision has been focused on revolutionising this space with an innovative solution called Funghii. Outside of the startup world, Emile can be found on the mountain bike trails on weekends, bringing the same drive and determination to the outdoors that he does to his ventures.
