Introduction

Dr. Nica Borradaile is an Associate Professor of Physiology and Pharmacology and Associate Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at Western University's Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. Her research examines how fat metabolism drives liver and cardiovascular disease in obesity. She has a longstanding partnership with Mushrooms Canada to investigate the metabolic health benefits of mushroom-derived compounds and products. She is dedicated to training the next generation of researchers and future health professionals with deep expertise in the science behind mushrooms and metabolic health.
