
Roland van Doremaele grew up surrounded by mushrooms. His parents owned a mushroom farm in The Netherlands. After completing high school, Roland studied Agricultural Engineering at Wageningen University & Research. During his studies, he completed two internships in mushroom cultivation. His first internship was for Jack Verdellen Project & Engineering, where he worked on standardizing a tunnel operation. For his second internship, Roland went to Australia and worked at a composting company, designing and developing a new composting facility. After completing his study, Roland started working as a technical advisor at DLV Paddestoelen in 1999, which merged into C-point in 2000. C-point was a training and consultancy firm focused on mushroom cultivation. Since August 2003, Roland has been working at the Christiaens Group as Manager Sales Department where he is responsible for the sales.
